A pleasant and informative place to visit. For those who are not steady on their feet, or in wheelchairs, it would be extremely hard to navigate because if the cobble stones! The walk was hilly and on the day I went, hot! The exhibits (buildings etc) were really fun to see, we arrived too late to try out the tea rooms, but we were advised that we would be able to use our pass to visit the next day.

We enjoyed this experience. We did not attend the light show. The museum was absolutely fantastic and a narrated tour was available. Would recommend. We stayed for around 2 couple hrs with our 3 and 5 year olds

Great experience in the pioneer village with my family. Good photography opportunity there. My children were feeding the ducks, the blacksmith demonstrated at the workshop. A small jetty woth boat. Will be back again.

Thoroughly enjoyed walking through yesteryear. A very well laid out open space museum. From authentic dry stone walls and loght houses to the historic shipping reports and feeding the ducks. Great for all ages and the night show would be worth the viewing as well on a warmer evening. Very friendly staff at the entrance doubling as an information centre - well worth the visit and relatively cheap entry.

Such a great place. I've been going there since I was a kid, and love it every time. I could easily spend most of a day there. There's so much history, and the people walking around in olden day clothes are so fun! Great place to go!
